Handheld: Sampling Oxygen

O2 Portable Monitors using Sampling

Why use a sampling method for oxygen (O2)?

CO2Meter provides sampling gas detectors, designed for highly confined spaces where monitoring of elevated gas levels is needed to be analyzed for a specific purpose.

Individuals use sampling O2 monitors as they involve a pump or closed-loop system that is able to stream gas across the sensor and return it back to the enclosure, for precise sampling.

Using an O2 sampling method also has a much higher response time making it extremely beneficial for applications where gas must be accurately analyzed.

What is the minimum acceptable oxygen level in a confined space?

When monitoring a confined space with elevated gas levels, the acceptable oxygen level per the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) is 19.5%.
