Ammonia

We have select devices that measure Ammonia gas concentrations.

How do Ammonia Gas Detectors Work?

Ammonia gas detectors work on electrochemical sensing. Electrochemical sensors are electrochemical measuring transducers for measuring the partial pressure of gases under atmospheric conditions.
These Ammonia gas detectors and sensors work when the ambient air being monitored diffuses through a membrane into the liquid electrolyte in the sensor.

Why is Ammonia (NH3) gas monitored?

Ammonia (NH3) gas detection monitors should be considered wherever there is a risk of elevated NH3 concentrations. This is because Ammonia gas is non-flammable, but because it is also mixed with oxygen in certain concentrations it can be extremely hazardous and could explode if ignited.
