0-1% (0-10,000ppm) CO2 sensors are used to measuring indoor air quality or atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.
For IAQ applications we recommended the Senseair S8 Miniature 10,000ppm CO2 Sensor. This sensor is designed for use in indoor control and alarm applications like portable heaters, or HVAC systems. It is leader in next-generation NDIR CO2 sensors.
For monitoring atmospheric carbon dioxide levels we recommend the Senseair K-30 CO2 sensor. It's low-cost and proven track record of accuracy and reliability are known by OEM manufacturers worldwide.
For scientific, academic or hobby applications we recommend any of the Gas Sensing Solutions CoZIR, SprintIR or ExplorIR CO2 sensors for their accuracy, low cost, and native serial output that makes it easy to work with Arduino, Raspberry Pi or other microcontrollers.
How does an air quality sensor work?
CO2 Meter focuses on high-quality NDIR CO2 sensors. These sensors used infrared light to measure the number of CO2 molecules in an air sample. While NDIR sensors are more expensive than electrochemical sensors, they are longer lasting and more accurate.
What are the six most common indoor air pollutants?
carbon monoxide, lead, nitrogen oxides, ground-level ozone, particulate matter, and sulfur oxide are the 6 most common indoor air pollutants.
CO2 is not on this list. However high CO2 levels often correlate with high levels of these other indoor pollutants. For this reason, a single, low-cost CO2 sensor can be used as an indicator of all of them.
Why should I use a 0-1% CO2 sensor for indoor or outdoor air monitoring?
Normal indoor or outdoor air will never reach above a few thousand ppm of CO2. Therefore, a CO2 sensor with that range of measurement will be the most accurate for these applications. For safety monitoring 0-5% CO2 sensors are used. Learn more about CO2 sensor ranges here.
Let customers speak for us
from 444 reviewsI've had the PRO-10 for about a month now. So far it's been a great addition to my PPE. Quite a eye opener when it starts going off while on a site.
The team loves the new PRO-10 and how its designed and functions. It’s simple and easy to see and hear too. The rugged design and new belt hook are ideal to keep our installers, techs, and salespeople safe in the field.

Just a great all around experience. Give your team a sick bonus or raise!
It is reliable sensor we used.
Part was accurate and arrived fast
I receveid the sensor and in the test everthing works well
Totally thrilled with it
good seller
Worked great for our School science project, measuring and logging direct air capture of CO2 using an Arduino and laptop.
This meter not only shows the current co2 level but records the maximum and minimum readings for instant recall.
I am very pleased with this well built unit.
Remote CO2 Storage Safety Dual Alarm
This monitor controller is what I have been looking for for 25 years. It keeps the co2 levels at the correct levels. When they go to high the fan kicks on and runs until the co2 reaches 800 parts per million, which is the default setting. I just purchase 3 more one for each of my grow rooms. I feel they are very reasonable priced as well.
We have continued to use CO2Meter CO2 Leak Detectors and they have worked great. It's nice not also having the headphones to deal with like other competitors. 5 stars!
Josh and the team have been incredibly helpful and responsive every time I would like to source and install a sensor. Great products and great team.
